My Gymshark66 Habits

Red Light Therapy

Recently introduced to the benefits of Red Light Therapy, I’ve just began incorporating this into my routine as 2024 was ending. In just 3 weeks, I’ve seen significant benefits to my skin. Even my hair has been growing faster and seems a lot thicker. A great way of incorporating this is wearing a red light mask at night while reading. Studies have shown red light to contribute towards increase melatonin secretion to help sleep.

Eat Clean, No Processed Food

After 4 knee surgeries within 6 years of my collegiate/professional career, something had to change. Food plays a huge role in our life, yet we’re constantly surrounded by ultra-processed, disease causing food. Educating myself nutritionally has played a big part in my recovery.

I experienced frequent setbacks with injuries and illness during my first pro season. Taking control on my diet provided an instant impact. Eliminating processed foods and prioritizing quality nutritional whole foods changed everything. I was less inflamed, so I recovered better which led to decreased pain and improve immunity. As a result, this improved my performance and I’ve never looked back.

We can’t become a healthy person if we don’t feed ourself healthy items. This applies to mindset too. Nutrition plays a part in our growth, immunity, emotions, recovery, and so much more. If you want a quick win, cut out the ingredient laced in almost all processed foods, seed oils. Here’s what you need to know.

No Socials After a Set Time

I’m terrible with social media. I’ve become more conscious of it recently, but I’ve never set a time to stop using it. The days (not many) I’ve told myself to stop using my phone at around 10PM, I’ve woke up the next morning refreshed. Constantly consuming is not good for our brains. Just like lifting in the gym, there a time to train and rest. The brain is actually a lot more important than our muscles, so it’s in my best interest to make this a priority.

Destroying Limiting Beliefs

I’ve stepped away from my professional athletic career to pursue a different path. Our health is the most important thing we have. I truly believe everyone in this world can break self-imposed limiting beliefs by taking the approach of becoming a healthy person. This involves healthy routines, food, mindset, and much more.

An athlete’s worst nightmare is a season-ending surgery and I’ve faced this 4 times. Each time I found a way to rise above and take valuable lessons from the adversities. This showed me we’re capable of much more than the limit we place on ourselves, and I want to inspire others to think in the same way.

Power of Z basketball

Gymshark66 has provided a life-changing opportunity to cement healthy habits, with the chance of becoming a Gymshark athlete. The timing couldn’t have been anymore perfect. The selection of habits to decide from are incredible. Trying to focus on too many habits will result in not doing any of them in the long run. Simplicity is vital in this case.

Setting goals are important for planning progress, while systems are built to execute them. A goal is nothing without any actionable steps. A system only works if the processes are functioning. In our case, the system will provide positive results if we consistently execute our habits that align with the mission.

Life can throw spontaneous events at you. This can shift your entire direction which can be daunting if you rely on just setting goals. Thanks to effectively building a robust system you’ve built resilience, developed skills, and on your way to building a beautiful legacy.
